Where We Fish
Home Water & Hosted Destinations

We Deliver Experiences — on our home water and far beyond it. Wherever we take you, the Barefoot way travels with us: wild water over stocked club water, small groups, catch-and-release, and guides who teach the river as you fish it.

Our Home Water

Todd Island & the New River

A designated North Carolina Mountain Heritage Trout Water on the New River, in the High Country of the Blue Ridge — our home water and the heart of everything we do.

New River Headwaters

Above and around the island, the New River’s headwaters thread the corridor between Boone and West Jefferson — smaller, wilder feeder creeks for tight, technical wading and wild-fish days.

The Sky Retreat

An evening-to-morning experience for wedding parties, families, and cabin guests — fireside brews, casting and fly tying, then a guided morning on the New River.

Hosted Destinations

The Driftless

Spring-creek trout and wild brown trout in the ancient, unglaciated coulee country where Minnesota and Wisconsin meet — a hosted Fish & Forage weekend guided in partnership with a local expert.

More destinations on the horizon. Every hosted trip is handled start to finish — you just fish.
