Barefoot Guide Policies

Deposit Policy:
  1. Deposit Requirement: 50%.
  1. Confirmation: The deposit serves as confirmation of the reservation and is non-refundable to cover administrative and planning costs in case of cancellation.
  1. Balance Payment: The remaining balance is due the day of the trip.
Refund and Cancellation Policy:
  1. Cancellation by Client: If a client cancels within 30 or more days before the trip, a full refund of the deposit is offered, minus any administrative fees. Cancellations within 10 days of the trip result in the forfeiture of the deposit.
  1. Cancellation by Company: If the company cancels the trip (due to weather, safety concerns, or other reasons), clients may reschedule. No refunds are offered, but the trip may be transferred.
  1. Weather-Related Cancellations: Barefoot Guides offer rescheduling or partial refunds, at our discretion, if the trip is shortened or affected by weather.
Weather Policy:
  1. Safety First: The safety of our guests and staff is paramount. Trips will be rescheduled or canceled in the event of severe weather conditions such as lightning storms, extreme winds, or flood potential; any weather that poses a safety risk.
  1. Weather Monitoring: We closely monitor weather forecasts and conditions. Decisions regarding trip alterations due to weather will be made as early as possible, ideally the day before the scheduled trip.
  1. Rain Policy: Light to moderate rain does not typically hinder fly fishing and can often be advantageous. However, heavy rain leading to unsafe river conditions (like high water levels or fast currents) will necessitate rescheduling.
  1. Temperature Guidelines: Trips will be postponed or canceled if the temperature is forecasted to be below 40°F, especially during the November – March period, to ensure the comfort and safety of our guests.
  1. Rescheduling and Cancellations: In the event of a weather-related cancellation, guests will have the option to reschedule their trip to a later date or receive a full refund. We will work closely with our guests to find suitable alternatives.
  1. Guest Discretion: If a guest feels uncomfortable with the weather conditions, they are encouraged to contact us at least 24 hours before the trip to discuss rescheduling options.
  1. Partial Weather Conditions: If weather conditions change during a trip, resulting in a shortened experience, at Wahoo’s discretion Wahoo’s will offer a pro-rated refund or the option to reschedule the remaining time.
  1. Communication: We will ensure timely and clear communication with our guests regarding any weather-related changes to their scheduled trips.

This policy aims to balance the unpredictability of weather with the need for planning and safety, ensuring that guests have a positive and secure experience with Barefoot Guides.
